Minnesota Moose Run Enduro
Duquette, MN
Cancelled due to flooding
Taking place in the Nemadji
State Forest, and some adjacent private land, the course offers a variety of trees
to ride by, as well as some challenging elevation changes. The Mini-Enduro on Saturday
is considered one of the most enjoyable ones on the District 23 Enduro circuit. This will be the
last round of the District 23 Enduro series.
If you have though about trying an Enduro, this one may be for you. The event is scored
National style, meaning there is no need for timekeeping equipment. Part of the time is
timed tests, which determines your score, and the other part is mostly “relaxed-pace”
rides to the start of the next time test. The event may take 5-6 hours, but you are not
riding the entire time, and certainly are not going full-bore the whole time. The other
concern for many newbies is mud. Since this Enduro is held late in the summer, there is
more chance of it being dry than wet, but if it rains the whole week before the event…
or all year long as it turns out, call first.
